Hello everyone!
This is a shot of INDY Island at The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park: 100 Acres.

This shot was taken around the end of a nippy but beautiful winter day.

It really is a lovely park and if anyone is in the area, I feel it's well worth a visit.
I often go there to take nature shots, go for walks, runs, or just to relax on the swings(, Yes, I'm a proud young adult that still loves to swing). The nature park is 100 Acres and located right behind the Indianapolis Museum of Art, It features a nice woodland area with walking non intrusive walking paths, a lake, and a meadow, and if you are feeling a little adventurist the park is located next to a River so there are plenty of untouched areas to explore*.
You will sometimes encounter some of the wild animal life that visit or live in and around the park, for example, once I saw a doe and her fawn foraging in the woods(quite close to the walking path I might add), she did notice me, however, kept quietly about her business as I couldn't help but stop and watch the two for a short period of time before heading on my way. I've also spotted a couple blue herons at the 35 acre lake within the park, numerous ducks, birds, chipmunks and squires are something normal hear and see on a nice day, and yes, a nature park isn't a nature park without its insect life, and I would be lying if said I've never walked into a spider's web.
The sights, the smells, and the sounds of the 100 Acres Park have always helped me to relax. It is also a great place to practice taking pictures, whether you are a professional photographer, a student like me, or just someone with a camera, there will always be something interesting to photograph.
While the bridge of 38th street just outside the park reminds you that you're in the city The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park: 100 Acres is a great place to get away from it all, even if it's just for a little while.
If you live in Indy and haven't been to the 100 Acres Park I urge you to go and enjoy it with friends, family, or by yourself if you feel like it. If you don't live in Indy and happen to be here long enough, stop by, the park's admission is free and it's open daily from dawn till dusk.
I hope you all get to enjoy this place in the future as I do.
Thank you for your time and I'll talk to you later.
